INTERNATIONAL OTTO EDELMANN SINGING COMPETITION – VIENNA

07. – 12. November 2017

This year will see the International Otto Edelmann Singing Competition-Vienna take place for the fifth time with the Institute of Voice and Music Theatre at the mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna as its host. This competition is directed at outstandingly talented opera- and operetta-trained young singers from all over the world.

SCHEDULE
The application process begins on the 27th of February 2017.

Onsite registration 7 November 2017
Round 1 with piano 8/9 November 2017
Round 2 with piano 10 November 2017
Final round with orchestra 12 November 2017

All rounds will take place at the Schönbrunn Palace Theatre (Schlosstheater Schönbrunn).

Esther Schollum, proprietor of the opera and concert agency Esther Schollum Artists' Management
Erich Seitter, proprietor of the singers' agency Bühnenvermittlung Erich Seitter until 2008, artistic consultant at various opera houses

 

AGE LIMIT
Singers must have been born after 1 January 1987.
